Light Inc. has announced that its President, Jeffery
A. Smith has resigned effective January 31, 2005
to pursue other business interests. Michael K. McCourt,
Directed Light's Chief Executive Officer, has appointed
Neil S. Ball to replace Mr. Smith as Directed Light's
President. Mr. Ball has over 20 years of experience
in the laser industry, 13 of which in increasingly
responsible roles at Directed Light, most recently
serving as General Manager. Mr. Ball is a member
of the Board of Directors of the Laser Institute
of America and is actively involved in the promotion
of the laser industry worldwide.
