For Immediate Release:
Chicago, IL – November 12, 2005 marked Directed Light Inc.’s first Independent Field Service Summit held at the luxurious Hard Rock Hotel in the heart of Chicago, IL.
The evening commenced with drinks, light snacks, and stimulating conversation in the reception area overlooking Michigan Avenue. The group was then seated in the Fender Ballroom and enjoyed a delectable meal followed by coffee and dessert as presentations began. First to speak was Neil Ball, President of Directed Light, who gave a warm welcome to everyone who was able to attend. He was followed by Rick Weisbarth of SPI, Dave Krattley of Lasag, Josh Gold of Laservall North America, Mike Delbusso of Laser Mechanisms, Mina Earnest of North American Cutting Systems, and Jim Naugle of LIA. Directed Light was honored that Timo Becker of Volkswagen made the trip all the way from Germany to attend and present at this event. Directed Light was also honored to have Dave Belforte of Industrial Laser Solutions attend this event. The group then enjoyed a round of challenging games that included naming the largest Nd:YAG & CO2 laser user in North America, and identifying the laser application and end product from several laser samples provided. The winners were rewarded with prizes as they moved around the ballroom and met with other members of this unique industry.
The evening, filled with food, drinks, and stimulating conversation, was a huge success for everyone involved. This gave the attendees a chance to establish a relationship with other members of the field service industry when they may never had the opportunity to do so otherwise. Directed Light is already making arrangements for their second Independent Field Service Summit tentatively scheduled to occur in late 2006.
