| With little
or no tooling cost, repeatable, accurate cuts,
and rapid set up time laser cutting
is the production method of choice for R&D,
pre-production, and short run production runs.
With
superior edge quality to die cutting and the ability
to immediately incorporate part design changes
laser
cutting is often right solution for large production
runs as well. Directed
Light specializes in high speed, high precision
laser cutting of all common and some uncommon
engineering materials. All of our laser cutting
systems have 2 or 3-axis liner motor motion systems
with CNC control and .1 µm resolution. Many
of our systems also have an integrated rotary
axis. With CO2 systems ranging from
150W to 1kW, Pulsed Nd:YAG cutting systems and
1064 nm and 532 nm Q-Switch Nd:YAG cutting systems
we can cut your parts from tubes or sheets in
any of the following materials:
- Carbon Steel
- Nickel
- Aluminum
- Brass
- Gold
- Silicon wafers
- Alumina
- Urethane
- Fiberglass
- ABS
- Polystyrene
- Teflon
