box welding & hermetic sealing. Also known as inert
environment welding, laser glove box welding
is a specialized process required for many applications
and industries. The inert glove box environment
is used for welding and sealing materials such as
Titanium and Tantalum where exposure to oxygen (and
corrosion) in an open welding environment might
be undesirable. DLI supports the medical device
industry for the manufacture of invasive surgical
tools and implantable devices with this process.
In addition, DLI supports the Aerospace and Telecommunications
industries using its glove box welding capabilities
for the final sealing of their assemblies to insure
